OK, so there has been a ton of foundations launched as of late, and I thought I would give you my personal opinion on a few of them...
I am LOVING this one. It's nice and lightweight in texture, perfect for people who are used to wearing a tinted moisturizer and don't like the heavy feeling of foundation... but would like a little bit more coverage. It is a build-able foundation and you are able to get about a medium coverage out of it. I am pretty happy with the shade variety as well, although most do seem to be an the warmer side. Perfect for warmer skin tones, or if you would like to warm up your skin tone! But be sure to blend down your neck if this is something you plan on doing :) ... I wear "Warm me Up" Toasted Beige.
For all you full coverage foundation lovers out there, this is your new best friend! This foundation is an extremely FULL in coverage. Now, those of you who know me know I am not usually one for a fuller coverage, so considering my standing on full coverage my opinion on this foundation might come to a surprise for you. Personally I don't see myself using this foundation too much, possible uses for me would be in the winter and only in the center of my face blending out with a tinted moisturizer. BUT I will say I am loving how it is looking on anyone and everyone I have put it on. If you want an extremely flawless complexion with a doll like finish you will love this foundation! Want to skip the concealing step? You may be able to with this guy. Now, two things... if you plan on wearing this foundation PLEASE do the following on a regular basis...
That is all.
I wear a #56.
First off, love the shade collection. As a makeup artist, I am finding it extremely easy to find anyone's perfect shade, big points for that. They offer "half shades" which I love and gives the same convenience as shoe brands offering "half sizes" ... if you are in-between sizes you know what I am talking about! This is what I would call "easy wear" foundation. Buff this in with any buffing brush (if your oily - set it, if not - don't) and your good to go. Gives a quick and easy even skin tone and disappears into the skin well. Nice lightweight texture, but I still find it covers what's needed. Speaking of buffing brushes, Urban Decay came out with one to compliment this foundation and I love it. If you plan on purchasing this foundation I definitely suggest grabbing the brush that compliments it (Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush). I wear a #5 in this foundation.
A common trend right now for foundations is "lightweight breathable coverage." Brands are pulling away from thick heavy foundations and doing a lot of tinted moisturizer-ish foundations (that's what I like to come them). Not saying that full coverage still isn't out there and popular (hence the new Kat Von D), but this lightweight stuff is in demand for sure. I would definitely categorize this foundation in that lightweight group as well, still giving coverage, but it more or less evens out the skin, blurring imperfections rather then covering them completely. For that "natural" perfect skin look. I LOVE the concealer that comes with it (built into the top of the foundation cap... convenience!). It is extremely creamy and soft and not cakey or drying. I wear Medium or Dark.
Hope you guys enjoyed that and please comment if you have used any of these and tell me about your experience! oXo
